Welcome to our website!  On behalf of the members of the Rho Gamma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, I bring you greetings. 


It is my sincere honor to serve as the 11th chapter president. This chapter is dedicated to fulfilling the mission of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. ® by implementing programs that aim to enhance the social, economic, and well-being of the local, national, and international communities.  

Chartered September 6, 1987, Rho Gamma Omega has served the Oranges/Maplewood communities of New Jersey. We were once known as the “Small but Mighty Rho Gamma Omega Chapter”, but have recently grown to 60 phenomenal, professional and exceptional women who work tirelessly to provide Service to All Mankind. 

It is our esteemed pleasure to implement the 2018-2022 International Program theme, ”Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service" under the leadership of our 30th International President, Dr. Glenda Glover Our International Program includes 5 focus Target areas, Community Impact Days and a Signature Youth program, #CAP (College Admissions Process):  The Targets include:

  • HBCU For Life

  • Women's Health 

  • Building Your Economic Legacy

  • The Arts

  • Global Impact
