On Saturday, April 22, Rho Gamma Omega members and friends enjoyed time spent volunteering at the West Orange Earth Day event, planting trees to improve the environment. The Mayor of West Orange, Robert D. Parisi, recognized Rho Gamma Omega for volunteering and took a photo with chapter members and friends.

Rho Gamma Omega's healthy April activity was a bootcamp class at Fitness 365 in Bloomfield, NJ. Friends and family joined the chapter in an intense workout class that was filled with fun and fellowship. Rho Gamma Omega commends the chapter's Health Committee for coordinating such a wonderful event and sends a huge thank you to all who attended.

On Saturday, April 15, 2017 our ASCEND Committee and students went on their first cultural outing to the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in Harlem, NY. Their excursion included visiting the Black Power Exhibit, the center's commemoration to the 50th anniversary to the Black Power movement.
