The countdown begins! Join us as we celebrate 118 years of excellence, service, and sisterhood with the Illustrious Ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Rho Gamma Omega Chapter. Whether you are General, Inactive, or Active, we invite you to join us. This is a celebration you won’t want to miss.

Please join Rho Gamma Omega Chapter, as we partner with Nassan’s Place and The West Orange African Heritage Organization for our We Are One MLK Day of Service Event.

This meaningful community event honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through powerful oratorical speeches featuring excerpts from Dr. King’s historic addresses, performed by local youth in partnership with the Alpha Alpha Lambda Scholarship Foundation. Together, we will reflect on his words, his vision, and his call to serve.

Guests will also enjoy Black History Trivia with FREE prizes, light refreshments, and an opportunity to support our Sensory-Friendly Food Drive.

While traditional food drives provide essential support, they often overlook the specific dietary needs of our neurodivergent participants. We are collecting sensory-friendly items to better serve families who require specific textures, flavors, and trusted brands.

Please bring one or more of the following items to donate upon entry:
Chicken nuggets
Frozen French fries
Yogurt
Gummy vitamins
Welch’s fruit snacks
Non-lactose milk

All donated items may be picked up by families at the conclusion of the event.
